Get to Know Me

I have been taking care of moms and babies for the last 20+ years. I first worked in a social service setting at a maternity home for homeless teen moms. After I had kids of my own I was so inspired and touched by the care I had received that I was moved to go into maternal health care. In 2010 I started my degree in Health Sciences at McMaster for Midwifery while my children were 3 and 5. Now those children are teenagers! I absolutely loved my job as a midwife but have taken a leave for a change of pace.  I have helped hundreds of families in my 10 years as a Registered Midwife give birth and successfully breastfeed. Giving breastfeeding support has always been my favourite and the most rewarding part of my job as a midwife. I look forward to continuing to support families in this way in the Niagara Region and beyond.
